Fran is the Facilitator for Leadership Hermiston, a 10-month program with full-day classes each month designed to network local business people while exploring the many unique facets of life that contribute to making Hermiston and Eastern Oregon a growing, thriving area. Fran is a graduate of the Ford Leadership Program through Rural Development Initiative. She is on a team that is instrumental in bringing Global Leadership Summit, a two day simulcast conference, to the area. She is one of the five founding board members of Eastern Oregon Women's Coalition and a member of the Greater Hermiston Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Team.
Retired from 25 years of homeschooling six successful children, she has owned and operated two small businesses and is actively involved with her church.
Hospitality is a way of life for Fran and her husband, Don. Their home has been a welcoming place for new and old friends from near and far. Internationally connected through Don's work and Fran's involvement with Ambassadors in Sport, it is not unusual for them to entertain people from every continent. Building relationships and connecting people and ideas are natural for them.
